LOTD: Night Out!

What to wear on a night out?

Dressing up and keeping it modest can be a tricky task. Having key pieces in fabrics like taffeta, silk and chiffon ends up becoming fundamental, simple because they give class and elegance to any item of clothing. But what exactly can be worn without it looking too fancy? The common options: Maxi skirts and wide trousers are your safe options. Trousers and shirts  or maxi skirts and shirts done in the right materials (like the ones previously mentioned);  can instantly turn any look around and make it appropriated for important occasions without overstepping any boundary of taste or looking extremely overdressed. This outfit is all about keeping it simple, because you know what they say: Simplicity is elegance.

Put on a smile, by far the best accessory!
I wore this outfit to a social event and I felt extremely comfortable and appropriate  The pants I am wearing are actually vintage. I found them in my mother's "Forgotten pile" from the 80's and turns out they fit me like a glove. The shirt is from Forever21 and so is the clutch. Turns out dressing up can be done at a very reasonable price too!

Burgundy: The color you want to wear this season!

I kept the accessories and jewelry simple as well, some pearl earnings, Regles D'or collar tips to step out of the "necklace comfort zone", KikiStyleMod ring and the turban is done in a plain black scarf. Not too much, just enough. The hints of deep red and burgundy add nice touches to the outfit. When dressing up and going to events, keeping it sober is the best way, just remember sober DOESN'T MEAN BORING! Just remember that as Coco Chanel once said: "Simplicity is the keynote of elegance."

xo and style your life modest!

Love,

Kiki G.
